Characterization Properties of Banana Peel as a Promising Alternative for Bioplastic

نویسندگان

چکیده

The increasing use of conventional plastic has been creating some big problems, ranging from the oil crisis as a raw material for production and accumulation unbiodegradable waste on earth. One promising measures to handle problem is environmentally–friendly biodegradable plastic, made renewable materials. aim this project characterize properties bio-plastic banana peel. process begins with extraction pectin peel hydrochloric acid followed by addition water, CaSO4, tapioca starch, acetic acid, glycerin form plastic. analysis extract gave 8.3 % yield, 29 water content, 10 ash 4.9 metoxyl 50 galacturonic content, and 13.8 degree esterification. obtained after following had thickness 0.28 mm, absorption capability 53.8 %, it was certain characteristics.

Nano-cellulose derived bioplastic biomaterial data for vehicle bio-bumper from banana peel waste biomass

The innovative study was carried out to produce nano-cellulose based bioplastic biomaterials for vehicle use coming after bioprocess technology. The data show that nano-cellulose particle size was 20 nm and negligible water absorption was 0.03% in the bioplastic. Moreover, burning test, size and shape characterizations, spray coating dye, energy test and firmness of bioplastic have been explore...

Study of Banana Peel (Musa sapientum) as a Cationic Biosorbent

The efficacy of the Banana peel (Musa sapientum) biomass was tested for the removal of lead, copper, zinc and nickel metal ions using batch experiments in single and binary metal solution under controlled experimental conditions. It is found that metal sorption increases when the equilibrium metal concentration rises. At highest experimental solution concentration used (150 mg/L), the removal o...

Removal of Basic Blue 159 from Aqueous Solution Using Banana Peel as a Low-Cost Adsorbent

In this paper, the adsorption of Basic Blue159 (BB159) onto banana peel as a low-cost material was studied. At first, the banana peel was sieved. Later, banana peel particles were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) techniques. Batch adsorption experiments were carried out as a fu...

Banana Peel Oxalate Oxidase-detection, Purification, Characterization and Physiological Role

Objective: Enzymes like oxalate oxidase (EC 1.2.3.4) and superoxide dismutase (EC 1.15.1.1) from germin family are known to generate active oxygen species. In the mammalian system, excess accumulations of oxalate causes kidney stones. Oxalate oxidase, an H2O2-generating enzyme, used for detection of oxalate. The aim of the present work is to screen out the activity of enzymes from all three sta...
